President Tinubu issued a warning to government officials and family members being present at the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting without invitation.
Tinubu gave this warning before the FEC meeting commenced on Monday at the Presidential Villa, Abuja. He said “I realized people going in and out of the council. People made entry to the place when they were not supposed to. I spot the photograph of my son, Seyi behind… That’s unacceptable.
He said, ‘I will make it known to the public those who are supposed to be in council’.
“Hadiza Usman, Special Adviser on Policy Coordination, Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Hakeem Muri Okunola, Principal Private Secretary, and Damilotun Aderemi, Private Secretary”.
“These are groups of persons who are permitted to attend the council meeting about the nation. If not invited, don’t come”.
President Tinubu ordered the secretary to the Government of the Federation, George Akume, and the Head of Civil Service of the Federation (HCSF), Folashade Yemi Esan, to be mindful of his directives.
He also said ‘If your staff are not included, nobody should make entry to the FEC meeting, unless your name is announced by me’.
He also stated that “any event planning about government must be duly pronounced and followed accordingly”.
President Tinubu showed his absolute assurance in the integrity of his Chief of Staff, Femi Gbajabiamil.
He said “he is aware of a lot of rumors going around concerning the country’s situation, and he admitted his mistakes.
“I have heard a lot of them and correction should be made”. God Almighty has all the Perfection. I have absolute assurance in the integrity of my Chief of Staff.
“All the campaign of defamation and imputation should be over”.
