Supreme Court Didn’t Declare Tinubu As Winner: Datti Baba – Ahmed Gives Insight
On Monday, November 6, Labour Party candidate, Peter Obi, involved the media over the Supreme Court Judgment that attested the President Tinubu’s victory in the 2023 poll.
Obi cast the first stone as he indicts the court of deserting its responsibility as a court of law and policy.
While Peter Obi continued his struggle to maintain his quest for democracy in Nigeria his running mate, Dr. Yusuf Datti Baba-Ahmed insisted Tinubu was not the winner of the election.
In Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, the vice presidential candidate of the Labour Party in the 2023 presidential election, Dr. Yusuf Datti Baba-Ahmed, has said the Supreme Court did not attest to the victory of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

He said this during a press conference in Abuja, held on Monday, November 6, two weeks after the Supreme Court confirmed Tinubu’s electoral victory, under the All Progressive Congress (APC).
The Labour Party chieftain maintained that the court did not declare Tinubu the winner but only validated the criminality of the lower court, the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal (PEPT).
Speaking during the live program, Datti spoke he would never be shaken by a man who forged his certificate and relinquished drug money.
He further said:
“The Supreme Court didn’t affirm Tinubu’s presidency, they only affirmed the illegality of the lower court.”

It was reported earlier that a legal practitioner and help to Atiku Abubakar, Daniel Bwala showed concern over how President Tinubu plans on managing the Labour Party and the Obedient as an opposition in the country.
Bwala shared his worry while responding to Baba Ahmed’s stance on the adjudication of the Supreme Court.
The PDP chieftain said will encounter more challenges in managing the Labour Party and Obedient.

Earlier, Peter Obi explained the reason for his nonappearance at the Supreme Court during the hearing of the appeal laid against the PEPT adjudication.
He said his absenteeism was because of a prearranged international commitment.
He also stated that he received the notice of the apex court judgment while traveling outside the country.

A human rights lawyer, Inibehe Efgiong, said he desires that the National Assembly will further adjust the electoral act to elucidate the position of the law, especially as regards the problem of electronic transmission results.
Effiong told Atiku Abubakar and Peter Obi to carry out the work of the opposition and start to checkmate Tinubu’s administration.
